Inspired by the awe and wonder of nature, the arts, people and our heritage, I specialise in creating family/across the ages engagement and learning resources.
Capturing and telling your unique story, I write and illustrate family friendly stories for books, theatrical productions, story walking trails, guides, paper maps, products and GIS map linked trails.
My work seeks to inspire across the generations in unique and entertaining ways to promote learning, cultivate reflection and motivate the creation of a better world.

Our Work
Stories for telling, productions, publications & products
As a writer, I craft original and engaging fictional fact based stories for my audience. Working alongside clients and communities, I capture their essence, memories, characters in history, and stories told by their landscape and natural inhabitants. I distil and alchemize these elements into immersive, imaginative and unique legends that connect, stir and move people.
I have produced over 20 stories and story based products, including a bespoke children’s book for the Woodland Trust, a stargazing story map for the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a story walking trail for Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust and children’s story trail interpretation for Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership.
Learning & Engagement
My passion for nurturing children’s hearts and minds through play, nature and the Arts led me to develop a Forest School, write story trails and a set up a therapeutic play based practice.
I now combine my knowledge, understanding and creativity to produce engaging learning resources that ignite imagination and embed understanding through compelling characters, storylines and activities.
My work is broad and inclusive, and has included creating:
• An interactive school trip audio trail around Finsley Gate Wharf for the Canal River Trust
• Poetry for an Endangered Species project & Exhibition
• A family walking resource for use Keighley Healthy Living to connect communities to their local parks and their history
• Two walking trails & school resources for the National Trust – Malham Tarn and Janet’s Foss
Graphic Design & Illustration
As an accomplished Illustrator and Artist, I build on existing characters and invent new ones, develop artistic scenes that communicate learning and understanding in fun and interesting ways. I work with my trusted Graphic Designer to produce magical and captivating publications and products.
Map & Trail Design
With the support of my production team, I create and publish highly illustrated, characterful and interactive fun trails and maps for finding your way around a place, telling its story and engaging through activities, immersing and connecting your visitors to the place they are exploring. We can create digital maps using ArGIS storymaps for visitors to explore your special place before and after visiting.
