March 24, 2021Content Producer – Rochdale Town Hall Restoration Project – expired
Rochdale Town Hall is without doubt a building of the highest level of national importance. Its Grade I listing places it in the top 2.5% of buildings nationally and was described by the authoritative architectural historian Pevsner “as one of the dozen most ambitious High Victorian town halls of England…of rare picturesque beauty, boasting splendid interior schemes”.
The restoration of this historic building is a significant project for the borough of Rochdale and has received significant investment from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project not only aims to restore the building but will give the building back to the people of Rochdale.
Through creative interpretation we will reveal the stories of the building, Rochdale and its people to engage visitors in a number of different ways.
The project has just started its delivery stage having been awarded an NLHF major batch grant. The Construction Phase of the project has begun and will run until September 2023.
We are looking to appoint a Content Producer to assist our Interpretation and Exhibition Designers to identify, generate and co-ordinate content for the interpretation of Rochdale Town Hall.
A link to the brief can be found here and for anyone who is interested in the role there are other documents I can forward including the Stage 3 Exhibition Report, the Graphic Design Scheme and the Graphic Schedule.
Timescales for the post are from June 2021 for 24 months and we have budgeted for 100 days work over this period with flexibility in how this is programmed.
If you are interested in tendering for this piece of work please email Emma Robinson – e.robinson@investinrochdale.co.uk by 4th April 2021 with your quote / day rate and a description of your relevant experience.
