Maximum Fee: £30,000 for the delivery stage of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project, a maximum of twenty-two months commencing January 2020
Bristol Music Trust are recruiting a Freelance Creative Producer to develop and deliver the Interpretation design as part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund Lantern Project.
The Lantern Project is a discrete but crucial part of the current Colston Hall redevelopment, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The 1873 Lantern building is grade II listed and built in the Victorian Byzantine style unique to Bristol. Originally the main entrance to Colston Hall, the building looks tired, dilapidated and underused. We now have the opportunity to restore this building, reinventing its use and celebrating its history.
At the heart of The Lantern Project is a commitment to celebrating the heritage of its 150-year history and the musical identity of the city of Bristol.
A major part of this project will be the delivery of a programme of interpretation design within the reopened building. The key aims of the interpretation will be to welcome our audiences and enable them to connect with the history and heritage of Colston Hall; reflect and celebrate people’s passion for music and live performance and share stories and people’s experience of their relationship with Colston Hall.
We are looking for a Creative Producer who is experienced and enthusiastic in delivering interpretation projects through co-creation, with and for the local communities, and working with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
