Cumbria Wildlife Trust seeking qualified consultants
Flagship peatlands: interpretation consultant – Two fixed-term contracts available
Cumbria Wildlife Trust is seeking qualified consultants to produce interpretation plans as part of our Flagship Peatlands project.
With a recently-awarded Development Stage grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Cumbria Wildlife Trust is progressing a new project focussed on enhancing and elevating Cumbria’s peatland – a misunderstood and undervalued ‘Cinderella’ habitat.
A key focal point of the project is to celebrate and promote our peatlands to wider audiences through engaging interpretation at two distinct and special places: Foulshaw Moss and Skiddaw Forest
Each of the two sites will require an interpretation plan that will enable us to tell the story of Cumbria’s precious peatlands, their specialist plants and animals, and the efforts to protect and restore peatlands in the county.
