User Responsibilities and Agreement

The AHI Exchange is built on trust and shared responsibility. Donors and recipients communicate directly to agree timings, transport, and any costs involved in collection. All arrangements are made between the parties themselves.

By listing or responding to an item, users agree to follow the platform’s user guidelines and to ensure exchanges align with their own environmental and social responsibility standards. The Association for Heritage Interpretation does not take responsibility for individual exchange agreements.

  • The AHI Exchange lets heritage practitioners advertise unwanted exhibition and display items or interpretative materials to other groups or practitioners in need, particularly those with low/no budgets.
  • The exchange platform is not intended for the sale or purchase of items, but for the exchange of items at no cost within our community, for the benefit of both donors and recipients.
  • It is free to use for AHI members. Non-members can browse items for free but need to sign up for a low-cost user account in order to advertise items or contact advertisers.
  • Donors and recipients communicate directly to arrange transport, timings, and expectations regarding any costs incurred.
  • All agreements are made solely between both parties. The Association for Heritage Interpretation accepts no responsibility for the details of the arrangement reached.
