AHI North visit to Bradford
Start: March 20, 2026
11:00 am
End: March 20, 2026
Join AHI North members on a visit to Bradford, still buzzing after its year as City of Culture 2025. We’ll visit new museum galleries at the National Science and Media Museum, discuss heritage interpretation in action, and discover the city’s key buildings on a short walk. And of course spend time with other fabulous interpreters from AHI.
The National Science and Media Museum’s ‘Sound + Vision’ galleries opened last year and explore the past, present and future of media technologies. A member of the curatorial team will give us insights into their development. We will also visit ‘You: Matter’, a very different, sensory digital experience that explores our connections to the Universe. After lunch, we will follow the Bradford City Heritage Trail of the city centre, created with Heritage England for schools and young people.
As always, there will be plenty of opportunities for conversation, discussion and general catch-ups with other AHI members in the North. If you’re new to AHI, or if you’ve not been to an in-person event before, do come along and meet local members. Non-members interested in joining AHI or wondering about coming to our annual conference are also very welcome.
