About Bill Bevan
I am a heritage interpreter, archaeologist, writer and photographer. I started out doing this sort of thing in 1996 when i was a tour guide in William Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, Grasmere. I have been a consultant heritage interpreter since 2005 and an oral historian since 2010. My specialities are interpretive planning, content development, interpretive writing, oral history, photography, heritage training, community participation and audience consultation. I am also a qualified vocational trainer and workshop facilitator. I am currently Editor of AHI's Interpretation Journal. I was Chair of AHI from 2015 to 2018 and Chair of the Awards Group from 2014 to 2021. I have written the AHI best-practice guidelines on panels and leaflets.Meet Our Members
