Walking with Romans
Walking with Romans sets out to encourage visitation and improve the visitor experience at two remote Scheduled Ancient Monuments in the Brecon Beacons National Park: the Roman marching camps at Y Pigwn and Waun Ddu fortlet. It is part of the Romans in Carmarthenshire project and the Welsh Governments Heritage Tourism Project.
Walking with Romans won this category because:
Even in poor weather, which might discourage the visitor, the mobile phone app was a truly engaging experience. It emphatically fulfills the aims and great use of formative evaluation to amend the output during its development. The app is engaging, innovative and shows how mobile technology can be well used.
