The London Borough of Merton is inviting tenders to design and deliver an interpretation scheme for their NLHF and NLCF funded ‘Parks for People’ project at The Canons House & Grounds in Mitcham, CR4 4HD. This includes an interpretation scheme for a community heritage space, a café and a landscape (including a walk through the site); a series of community engagement workshops and the design, delivery and installation of the final scheme.

An important element of the regeneration of The Canons House & Grounds is the interpretation of the site; it will improve the community engagement across the site and help local people understand the significance of the site and the narratives of people in the history of Mitcham.

The engagement and interpretation plan, design and implementation is key to the success of the project. It should capture the story of Mitcham and the story of The Canons.
