Help launch the AHI Exchange Scheme
You may have seen in our recent newsletter that we’ll be launching The AHI Exchange in the new year. The Exchange is a new platform on the AHI website that enables museum and heritage practitioners to share surplus exhibition and interpretive materials for reuse across the sector.
As an AHI member, your existing website login will also give you access to the Exchange, and participation will be completely free. The aim is simple: to make it easier to pass on materials that still have value – display cases, signage, panels, props, to organisations that can put them to good use, supporting sustainability, collaboration and more equitable access to resources.
As we prepare for launch, we’re inviting members to help us seed the platform with its first listings. If you have items in storage that could be shared, we’d love to hear from you. Anything identified between now and 10 January can be sent to us and we’ll upload it on your behalf.
To get involved, simply email admin@ahi.org.uk with details of any items you’d like to list.
By contributing early, you’ll be helping the Exchange start strong, and you may be the first to complete an exchange, while also ticking off some practical sustainability and social impact goals.
