St Just in Roseland Church and its iconic churchyard gardens sit by the side the St Just creek at the tip of the Roseland peninsula in south Cornwall. Described by Sir John Betjeman as “for some the most beautiful churchyard on earth”, people love the peace and tranquillity of the site and it is not an understatement to say that both the local community and our many visitors have a strong emotional attachment to St Just church with its beautiful woodland gardens and creek side setting.
We have an exciting project for 2024 to create a unique and innovative new Interpretive centre that will inform and educate about the history, heritage, culture and natural wonder of this beautiful part of Cornwall. There will be three separate components of the Interpretive experience
- A new Interactive display area inside the listed church
- A separate brand-new purpose built 100sq m Interpretive Centre
- An Interpretive garden trail
The PCC of St Just in Roseland and St Mawes Church is seeking to appoint an Interpretive Design team to deliver the project.
Our budget is £100,000 excluding VAT to cover all design, planning, research, hardware, software, artwork, signage, infographics and other display materials, installation and project management.
