November 15, 2021Invitation to Quote: Interpretative planning workshop and interpretation plan for Victory Wood. Expired
The interpretive opportunity
We are looking to work with a consultant to develop our interpretation offer at Victory Wood, near Whitstable, Kent.
Developing interpretation at this site will help to deliver the final stages of our Welcome Site Programme, which has seen a transformation in the gateway infrastructure and signage at 250 of our sites, ensuring they provide a welcoming and secure sense of arrival and better reflect our core values.
A key part of our vision and charitable purpose is to enhance people’s understanding and enjoyment of woodland. We want to connect more people more deeply with woods and trees. Increasing our interpretive offer is one of the ways in which we achieve this aim at designated sites across the UK.
Summary of brief
As part of this programme we are looking to appoint an established interpretation professional or professionals to supply two key strands of work:
- The development and delivery of one interpretive planning workshop (dependent upon Covid-19 restrictions at the time, some elements of this may need to be delivered virtually).
- The subsequent development and delivery of an interpretation plan for the site, to be agreed and signed off by the interpretation manager, the site manager and the engagement manager.
Who we are looking for
- We are looking for an industry expert in the interpretation sector, preferably with experience in delivering natural heritage projects.
- Experience delivering interpretation workshops and developing interpretive plans along with an understanding of running workshops for a non-expert audience is essential.
