How can the creative industries and heritage work better together- please contribute your experience.

In the most recent Government Industrial Strategy, the Creative Industries Sector Deal was announced at £150 million worth of funding and initiatives. The Heritage Alliance is interested in illustrating the role heritage plays in the success of the creative industries; they underpin, support and inspire creative practice and creative practitioners in numerous ways and with numerous art forms.

The Heritage Alliance report and further project seeks to highlight the contribution of heritage through a selection of case studies from across both the heritage and creative sectors and suggest some recommendations for better partnerships between the creative industries and heritage, and how government can support this.  They are very interested to hear from interpretation practitioners about projects undertaken at heritage sites which engage the creative industries and creative practice.

If you have thoughts and suggestions on recommendation for better working relationships between the creative industries and heritage please get in contact with Hannah Shimko. One third of the recommendations will be to government and policy-makers, one third to the heritage sector and one third to the creative industries. She is looking for case studies in 300-400 words with high quality images. Please also get I touch with her if you have any questions about the project.
