Introducing a Costumed Interpretation Programme at your Heritage Site or Museum

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

Costumed interpretation can create a memorable experience that lasts well after the visit. By taking the visitor back in time and enabling them to talk with an interpreter gives them a feeling of involvement in their heritage and promotes a better understanding of history.

This webinar explores the different uses of interpretation in costume and how to incorporate it at your site, museum or gallery. It will explore the management of the costumed interpretation programme, looking at training, costume, use of props and health & safety.

Jackie Lee has worked in the field of heritage interpretation for over 20 years. She wrote the best practice guidance for AHI on costumed interpretation and is a Full member of the Association for Heritage Interpretation.

Jackie is the Founder and Director of Artemis Scotland, which specialises in first-person costumed interpretation.

This webinar will be run on Zoom, register online and an invitation will be sent to you a day or two before the event.

This is one of a series of webinars based on AHI's set of best-practice guidelines which are available for AHI members to download for free from the AHI website.
